I have tutored approximately 100 students on a one-to-one level, along with several hundred in schools in Spain and the UK. Many of the students I have worked with are neurodivergent. I've taught students in several European countries, as well as China, the Philippines, Hong Kong and Japan. Last year I delivered tuition to students in schools in Nottingham and London in Maths, English and Spanish as part of the National Tutoring Programme.
My approach is very hands-on for the student. It is a very active style of learning, consisting of the student drawing diagrams, solving problems, carrying out translations etc. depending, of course, on the subject. This is highly effective as it aids memory, and therefore improves the chances of the student actually remembering the content covered. I also ask the student a lot of questions and pinpoint gaps in their knowledge, so that I am left with no doubt that the student has covered every possible eventuality for exams.
