I am an experienced teacher of 12 years at an independent school in Reading, hold a PhD in chemistry, and have been an experienced specialist exam marker for Edexcel and AQA for the past 6 years. Tutoring Experience

I am a Science teacher specialising in Chemistry at Key Stages 3,4 and 5 currently working at a local independent school in Reading. I can also teach biology and physics upto GCSE. I am therefore highly qualified and experienced with regard to pupils of all abilities.

Professionally, I have achieved a 100% pass rate for the GCSE Chemistry exams in January 2018-2021 and am fully responsibility for setting up and teaching all the GCSE sciences. I have achieved grades higher than the target grades predicted in 93% of my students both privately and professionally.

I am also an approved exams moderator for the AQA and Edexcel exam boards and so have an invaluable experience in answering exam style questions to achieve that all elusive Level 9.

Tutoring Approach

I believe in making learning fun and as enjoyable as possible through personal learning. My pharmaceutical experience can help provide 'How Science Works' insight and provide the extra motivation that comes from within. Through positive reward behaviour, support and encouragement, I believe learning will be less stressful and more successful.
