Love working with children! Always happy to help others and enjoy assisting anyone on their learning journey!

I am a positive,patient, friendly and caring tutor; I previously worked as a primary school teacher, working in Years 5 & 6.
I enjoy helping children to succeed and meet their personal goals for their education. I am happy to help children who perhaps need additional support to aid their learning, those who have a learning goal in mind or children who will benefit from consolidating what they are learning in the classroom.
I will tailor my approach to teaching based on the needs of the individual learner and always strive to ensure that all concepts are grasped and can be applied confidently.

I am flexible with sessions and am happy to work with parents/individuals who have schedules to work to.

I am available to tutor for primary school ages for all purposes, working with parents/carers to choose goals for the tutoring. Targets can be linked to a pupil's current school targets or assessed on an individual basis as a result of work during sessions. Regular feedback and discussions with parents on a learner's progress is all part of the process.

Additional homework can be set, if required.

Tutoring Experience

I worked at a junior school for seven years. I taught Year 5 & then mostly Year 6, where I gained much experience in preparing children for the SATs exams. I can teach Mathematics, English writing and Reading Comprehension.
Previously, I worked at a secondary school covering lessons of a vast number of subjects.

Tutoring Approach

Based on the needs of the individual. Everyone learns in different ways, therefore a teaching approach needs to be adapted to fit in with this. I enjoy working with those who are keen to learn and understand the importance of their own engagement and effort.

I will always adapt my teaching approach to best fit the needs of the learner. Learning methods can be tailored to fit the subject/need to help ensure teaching points are grasped.
