Hi, I’m Sandy I’m a tutor with a degree in Psychology and a Masters degree in Education. I specialise in tutoring students aged 11 - 16, and adults, in Maths. I believe that learning should be enjoyable. I am committed to helping students reach their full potential.
Tutoring Experience
I have worked in education, secondary school and sixth form college for 19 years. I have been a Maths teacher, in a secondary school for 15 years. I have taught KS3, KS4, GCSE, Entry level and Functional skills.
Tutoring Approach
My approach is to work with the learner to see what they already know and then work from there. If a student understands a topic then we move onto more challenging exam/problem based questions. If not we take it more slowly to ensure understanding, before moving on.
