I have just completed my A levels at Sixth Form and plan to study Physics at University next year. I enjoy learning and teaching Maths, English, and Sciences. During Sixth Form I took on numerous leadership roles and enjoyed them thoroughly. I developed leadership, organization, and communication skills, and acquired an understanding of hard work, persistence, and commitment. I also enjoy creativity, engaging with people, and providing excellent service. I value teamwork and am an effective team member, who likes to share experiences and learn from others.

Tutoring Experience

I worked as a part-time tutor at Parchhill Tuition, Croydon, from April 2018 to September 2019. I taught English and Maths to students from reception to GCSE. I had to maintain discipline and was responsible for the safety, academic progress, and providing comfort for emotional issues of all students. I also was required to effectively communicate to parents, explaining the academic, and behavioral progress of the students. During Sixth Form, I had the role of prefect and form representative, where I had to assist with organizing and running extracurricular and open day events. I also helped to maintain an overall discipline of students and acted as a bridge between my peers and the sixth form team.

Tutoring Approach

I hope to provide a motivating and educational environment for all my students where they are all able to achieve their goals. I like to make sure all my students are fully engaged through the lesson and are comfortable in raising any concerns they might have with their work. I am also proactive in enquiring if they have issues with the topic at hand, and like to hear feedback on their position with what they have studied. I like to make well-thought-out lesson plans, that they along with their parents, or any other parties responsible for their education are happy with, and ensure that they meet their set goals by the end of each lesson.
