I have an excellent track record for academic success. My background in teaching and leadership has equipped me with the skills to create effective learning environments and foster student success. I am excited to bring my expertise to an online tutoring role and support students in their English language learning journey.

I am a former Deputy Headteacher and Head of English, but first and foremost, I am a teacher of English with over 27 years of teaching experience, including over 20 years as an examiner of English Language and English Literature for all major exam boards in the UK, at GCSE and A Level. I was also the Principal Examiner for the iGCSE qualification at WJEC.

Tutoring Experience

I have been tutoring online for the past 3 years, and have an outstanding record of student academic performance, including many of my past students gaining access to Oxbridge and Russell Group universities.

My teaching approach is completely student-centred, with their needs firmly at the centre of my planning. Building confidence and a 'can-do' attitude is also integral to my approach:
