My name is Sarah and I am a qualified maths tutor based in the East End of Glasgow. I am currently a first year PhD student in maths at Glasgow University and graduated with a first class masters this year. I'm happy to take on new students for this academic year for tutoring up to National 5.
I have been tutoring national 5 maths for the past 2 years with positive results, helping students gain confidence and reach their target grades. I have great knowledge of the national 5 maths course and I have a passion for teaching.
I have further tutoring experience outside of mathematics as I teach traditional Irish fiddle to primary age students.
I have achieved my undergraduate masters degree, mathematics Msci, with first class honours as well as achieving A grades in national 5, higher and advanced higher maths at school.
I have full disclosure.
All lessons are one-to-one and an hour in length. They will be offered online using zoom.
My approach to tutoring includes using a variety of different learning and study techniques to help the student find out what works for them. I will help them revise older topics and work through past paper questions. I also offer help with homework exercises and answering any questions on the coursework they may have.
Online prices are as follows:
For S1/S2, lessons are £22 per session
For S3/national 5, lessons are £25 per session
Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions!
