I am a former Head of Maths, in a large secondary school, with over 20 years teaching experience in the classroom. I now run a tuition business, working face to face and online with students from Primary 4 to Advanced Higher Level Mathematics, in small group and 1-2-1 sessions.

Tutoring Experience

Former Head of Maths - over 20 years experience in the classroom.
Experience tutoring IGCSE and GCSE Foundation and Higher.
Expert knowledge of all levels in the Scottish curriculum including National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher Mathematics, and National 5 Applications of Mathematics - 20+ years experience.

Tutoring Approach

I begin by quickly assessing core skills and identifying any gaps.
I then work systematically through course content, building each sessions on the previous one, to build confidence and also key skills and techniques. I provide follow up tasks home tasks to supplement each session.
