I am a committed educator who works hard to get the best results for my students. I have a deep passion for my subject and more importantly, care about the young people I work with. I would like to think that people would describe me as very friendly and kind. I have worked with all kinds of young people and strike up positive relationships with them.
I have taught geography for over 20 years and been an examiner at both GCSE and A-level. I am currently Head of Key Stage 4 at Salesian College in Farnborough and have within this role promoted the effective use of various study & revision strategies.
This depends entirely on what works best for the student!
Generally, I would look to find an interesting geographical source and get the student to analyse and test their initial understanding. We might then try to apply this to 'textbook' theory or other contexts. When the student has a clear understanding of the topic, we can discuss how this might be applied to a range of exam questions.
