Mathematics PhD student at Stirling University, who currently does a variety of teaching at the university. Predominately focuses on tutoring university students and school students studying for their Higher or Advanced Higher.

Academic Background:
• PhD in Mathematics at Stirling University. (ongoing)
• MSc in Financial Mathematics at Strathclyde University.
• BSc in Mathematics at the University of Glasgow.

Usually, I tutor school students in their own homes and university students from either my office or the library. I have found this is normally most convenient for both parties.

Feel free to contact to discuss 1:1 tutoring, small group tutoring (max 4) or regarding any other enquires.

Tutoring Experience

As part of my PhD and MSc, I have had the opportunity to teach hundreds of students studying courses such as Linear Algebra, Calculus, Analysis, Differential Equations and Network Theory. In addition to this experience, I have tutored numerous students studying at both the University and School level.

Tutoring Approach

General Approach:
In my experience, students often have one or two general issues holding them back. This could be academic related, such as misunderstanding a fundamental concept, or issues related to the student's approach or lack of confidence. Therefore when I tutor, I aim to identify these weaknesses and then in collaboration with the student, discuss how best to target these weak areas.

I have found this method helps the student develop an overall better study technique, improving their approach in all courses, not just one.
