I live in Thanet, Kent and currently teach in the primary sector. I love to read and enjoy all tings English language based! I have many other hobbies, especially based around keeping fit. I also love to travel and organise exciting adventures in my spare time, following a stint teaching for two year in Nairobi, Kenya.
I have taught for over 25 years in a mix of secondary and primary schools. Originally a PE specialist I have retrained in English and gained my Literacy Lead qualification to enhance my transition to full primary teaching. Throughout my teaching career I have taught across the curriculum, including geography, History, science and art. I have also helped my two children prepare for their Kent test (11+).
I love to see children gain confidence in their skills not only to help them pass critical milestones in their education but to enable them to develop a love of learning that will stay with them far beyond the classroom. I am a well organised and professional practitioner who can connect with youngsters in my care.
