I believe it is vital for future generations to be prepared for the world they will enter, both academically and mentally. And this is why I am a teacher, a coach, a mentor, a therapist and a compassionate ear for all those under my care. I believe it is my duty to support students in a well rounded way through this important journey.

I have a passion for teaching and learning and absolutely believe it is possible to every individual to achieve high levels of success in this subject.

I am a highly trained and experienced specialist teacher for dyslexia and ADHD. I have also spent many years tutoring students for English language and literature up to degree level.

Tutoring Experience

I have over 10 years experience within the mainstream primary and secondary sectors and have taught at some of the top independent schools in the UK as a teacher and SENDCo.

My understanding of and competence with English is from ground level fundamentals at the primary level all the way up to complex writing structures and analysis with evaluation.

I have supported students with basic orthography and sentence formation with comfort and ease while helping other students create essay that balance structure, form, diction, language, imagery and other key literary devices for A-levels.

Tutoring Approach

Where students have struggled with reading or spelling, I use a range of holistic and multi sensory tools to both engage the learner while creating proficiency in the skill set.

As a hypnotherapist, I support learners with exam and public speaking anxiety, general nerves related to school or peer pressure, generating a motivated mindset, garnering resilience and confidence related to learning and social skills required at school and so much more.
