Hi I'm Sol! I am currently studying philosophy at the University of Sheffield, having done Philosophy (RS), Politics, and English at A level, and achieved A*s. I primarily tutor philosophy (at all levels), as it is my current field of expertise, although I also tutor A-level politics.

Tutoring Experience

While I have limited academic tutoring experience, I have many years of teaching experience as a guitar teacher, which allowed me to learn how different people respond to different types of teaching, and how to tailor my lessons to you. I have experience working with both children of all ages, and adults, as well as people with moderate learning difficulties.

Tutoring Approach

I try to take a personal approach to all my teaching. I never have a set template for all my lessons. Instead, in our first session I will take some time to work out what the best teaching style is for you or your child. I will then custom make our lessons around exactly what you need to know, in exactly the style of teaching that works for you. I am always happy to take feedback and instruction, and if there is anything that is not quite right for you, we can work together to fix it. I will always be patient and focus on helping you progress and work on exactly what you need to in order to achieve your goals.
