Sophie

I am currently a third year medical student at the University of Glasgow. I previously attended the University of St Andrews where I studied the first half of my medical degree, achieving a Bachelors degree, before I transferred to Glasgow for my clinical training. I grew up in Perth where I went to secondary school, studying Maths, Biology and Chemistry to Advanced Higher levels.

Each year at university I have been a peer mentor, helping to guide, nurture and build confidence in young students, something I believe is incredibly important alongside academic knowledge.

Tutoring Approach

I take a person centred approach to teaching, with sessions focusing on the areas each student would like to study, as well as taking into consideration the school curriculum.
I tutor virtually via Microsoft Teams and Whiteboard to interact with students and visualise their work in real time, as well as demonstrating concepts and working to students.
