I am a 32 year old British male who likes swimming and chess. Before I became a teacher I taught English to foreign students. I very much look forward to helping your son or daughter improve their grades.

Tutoring Experience

I am a science and maths teacher at Uckfield College in the South East of England. I also have experience tutoring. I have received very positive feedback from both disciplines respectviely. Often teachers will come into my classroom to see my approaches.

Tutoring Approach

I perfer to use Rosenshine's Principles of Instruction which involves starting a lesson with recapping what was taught previously. Introducing new material with scaffolding (support and easier questions first).
I then check for understanding by asking questions. From my expereince pupils have said tutors have been poor who just talk to them - It's vehemently important to keep your pupils engaged by constantly challenging them and this in turn inspires them.
