I have been a teacher and school leaders for more than 30 years, working in the UK, Bangladesh and Mexico. Most recently I was the Director of Technology at two of the most prestigious international schools in Mexico City, both combining the best of British and international learning (Greengates and Humanitree).
After training as a middle school teacher in Bradford, I began my career in the UK teaching Key Stage 2 (KS 2) classes first in Bradford and then in London. Next, I moved abroad and I continued to teacher the UK curriculum and the KS2 age group at international schools, first in Dhaka, Bangladesh and then in Mexico City.
As an educator my approach is child centered and I believe that children need their teacher to be a facilitator, supporting them with their individualised journey to become independent passionate lifelong learners. Fundamental to this is developing core curriculum skills for English, Mathematics and Science, but also nurturing a love of learning. As a child centred educator when I work with your child, I will identify the specific support they need in targeted curriculum areas and holistically help them to become more independent, successful learners.
