I have over 30 years of industry experience in engineering design, sales and marketing before taking up teaching. This gives me a wealth of real world knowledge to draw upon. In addition I have been a scout leader for 15 years so have a great rapport with young people. All of which gives me several different teaching techniques to find the most appropriate for students. I have taught in vocational, secondary and grammar schools with students with a wide range of abilities.

Physics at KS4 & KS5.
Product Design at KS4 and KS5,
Engineering at BTEC Level 2 and 3.
Computing Science at KS4 and BTEC Level 3

Tutoring Approach

I try to establish rapport and build confidence in my students, then find different approaches to tackling abstract subjects in order to create a picture in the student's mind. I find this greatly helps understanding.
