Hi, I'm Steven. I have been teaching and tutoring for 12 years to help student achieve their educational goals so they can move on to the careers and destinations that they want to.

Tutoring Experience

I am a fully qualified teacher within the secondary sector with 8 years’ experience to draw upon. I have a proven track record of success in assisting pupils who sit on the C/D (4/5) borderline as well as those aiming for A/A* ( 7/8/9)grades, with my most recent cohort achieving top grades. I have experience tutoring across a range of ages and am sought after within my area to provide advice to pupils about general revision techniques as well as tutoring in my subject areas.

I have been tutoring online since March as well as helping to lead my schools move to online learning so am well experienced in delivering online tuition using a range of GSuite and classkick.

Tutoring Approach

I have a true passion for teaching and encouraging students to question the world around them. I thrive on improving pupil’s knowledge and understanding by using ‘outside the box’ ideas and humour to explain key concepts. I work well with all students, finding the approach to a topic that suits them the best, pushing them beyond what they think they are capable of. I am hard working, conscientious and, as a teacher, I am completely child centred. I am highly versatile, approachable, adaptable and pride myself on being able to make the difficult areas of academic subjects accessible for all.
