As a dedicated science tutor with over 15 years of experience, I am passionate about helping students unlock their full potential and develop a deep understanding of scientific concepts. Holding a Master’s degree in leading learning, I have a passion for teaching and learning.

My tutoring approach is student-centered, focusing on individual learning styles and needs. I employ a variety of teaching methods, from hands-on experiments and interactive simulations to detailed explanations and problem-solving exercises, to make science both engaging and accessible. My goal is not only to improve grades but also to foster a genuine interest and curiosity in the subject.

Tutoring Experience

I started teaching Science in 2005. I've taught all year groups at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5. I completed a Masters Degree in Leading Learning which increased my involvement in the Academies Teaching and Learning program. This focuses on the best strategies to allow students to access the curriculum.

Tutoring Approach

Over the last 10 years I have had the privilege of tutoring over 60 students through their GCSEs. A student must enjoy their learning, feel confident in their own knowledge and understanding of a subject. This is where I can help, students often know the right answers but need encouragement and motivation in order to succeed. Working with someone on a one to one basis is the best way to do this, as there is no peer pressure or distractions. My aim is to ensure students have the confidence in their own abilities to progress and achieve their potential.
