Stuart Duncan

I am currently studying for my PGDE in Secondary Mathematics at the University of Glasgow. I have tutoring experience in Nat 5 and higher mathematics. I have First Class honours degree in Mathematics & Accounting at Glasgow university. I am very passionate about my subject and endeavour to help all my students achieve their full potential. I believe with hard work and dedication, any student can succeed in mathematics.

Tutoring Experience

I am currently studying my PGDE at Glasgow university which entails placements at secondary throughout the year. I also have previous experience of teaching at a Glasgow secondary school as part of my undergraduate dissertation.

I have previously tutored mathematics at Nat 5 and higher level.

Tutoring Approach

I am passionate and patient when teaching maths. I take the time to understand learners to ensure they are getting the best-tailored learning experience. As I tailor my lessons for tutees I cannot describe exactly what a lesson may cover. Typically I would aim to review material highlighted as weaknesses for students, with the hope of providing further understanding and challenge, as well as developing foundational skills and revising areas of the curriculum.
