I am currently a third year medical student at King's College London, aiming to help students with their endeavours to achieve their full potential.
Having attained Grades A* and A in A-Level Chemistry and Biology respectively, alongside solely Grade 8s and 9s across my GCSEs, I believe I am well equipped to offer continuous support and guidance along the way via online tutoring.

Tutoring Experience

During my first two years of university, I took on the opportunity to help an aspiring medic with their A-Level studies. I provided advice on the UCAS application process and assisted them with their individual subject choices.
I am always receptive of feedback, and understand this is paramount to achieving positive change and success.

Tutoring Approach

The first session would involve understanding where the student is currently at, by identifying what areas to focus on through using a topic checklist, which helps when working towards an end goal.

I aim to primarily instil confidence in the student's own abilities, as this initial positive outlook is crucial. I would tailor each session towards the student's own needs and individual learning style, constantly adapting my methods of teaching simultaneously.

I would address any questions the student may have, by breaking down complex problems into familiar concepts for them to grasp.

To further consolidate their learning, we would go through topic based practice questions and worksheets which I aim to share feedback on at the end of each session. This allows the student to constantly monitor their own progress and further time to ask questions.

On the side, I also provide advice and support on the application process for aspiring medics. This entails proof reading personal statements and Medicine Interview practice.
