I have over 10 years of private and group teaching experience. I teach a few different subjects, Japanese, music – theory, composition, guitar (up to intermediate), percussion, drum kit, and social science (e.g. psychology and sociology).

Tutoring Experience

I hold a PhD in ethnomusicology, music and composition. I have taught a range of students from nursery to university levels.

Tutoring Approach

I offer tailored learning materials suitable for each individual student. I carry out an initial assessment in starting lessons to analyse the student’s strengths and weaknesses. I also consider their cultural backgrounds to maximise their learning potential.
