I am a primary school teacher in London looking to tutor children of a primary school age to help them keep up at school and to give them confidence. I am friendly and supportive.

Tutoring Experience

After completing my training, I have taught a primary school for the last two years. I have worked with a range of age groups within this setting.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is to ask the child about what they find hard and what they would like to be better at. With maths, we will start to explore learning with physical resources and then move onto pictorial representations. We will then move onto abstract where the child is able to complete calculations without manipulatives. For spelling and reading, I will ascertain what phonics your child needs and build practice around those sounds. We will then spend time reading and talking about books to generate a love for reading. For writing, we will write stories together.
