Tashi

Hello, my name is Tashi and I am an aspiring medical student. I have completed A Levels in Chemistry, Biology and Physics and am awaiting my results. STEM subjects fascinate me, and I am confident in my ability to explain various complex ideas and topics. I am a ballet dancer, an avid singer and a keen writer when not focusing on my studies. I am friendly and easy to speak to, and therefore any doubt in a concept can be easily cleared without any confusion or awkwardness. Chemistry and Biology are my two favourite subjects and my knowledge in the two is extensive and thorough enough to teach others.

Tutoring Experience

I have tutored various family friends and siblings as well as teaching Maths and English within the Kumon programme. This has helped to refine my skills and practice various teaching approaches in order to properly convey a concept.

Tutoring Approach

For GCSE and A Level, I believe that working from the specification is key. I will understand what areas the student is struggling with beforehand, and whether they require help with questions/application or conceptual understanding and theory. If there are application issues then a brief overview of content will suffice, then leading to breaking down more complex questions. If there are gaps in understanding then more time is spent on content and memorising. In either case I will work to their specification of their exam board and will ensure that only relevant content is studied.
