Terry's Feedback

Terry provided classes for our daughter in Leaving Certificate Latin and Ancient Greek… which she took independently, as they are taught in such a small number of schools at LC level in Ireland. She obtained a high honour level in these subjects in her Leaving Certificate exams as a result. Terry is an exceptional teacher whose passion and love for these two subjects (not to mention his immense knowledge, understanding and experience) was expertly shared in his classes with our daughter and is reflected in how well she did. Terry's style of teaching enables learning of the subject area to go hand in hand with enjoyment - a gift that clearly he has as a teacher. Helping to create a love of a subject area so knowledge and understanding passes on to the student in a joyful and engaging way at the highest level is how we would describe the experience our daughter had of Terry's classes. Terry is an excellent tutor, one of the best I’ve ever had! His knowledge is truly incredible, he gave me knowledge that even my teachers didn’t know. He helped me understand some university level knowledge which I found interesting and will never forget! Terry was wonderful when I wrote many, many essay plans as he marked and edited them all. Thanks to Terry I have truly loved my studies of classical civilisation, and it is now my favourite subject. I am positive that I will achieve high grades in august. Thank you Terry.

Terry has tutored our son for his common entrance exam in both Latin and Greek. Terry is obviously a highly competent tutor - however I don't feel it was the right fit for my son.

Terry was a superb tutor for my son. He developed his range and depth of understanding of Greek texts and, most importantly, helped build his confidence. Terry is erudite while also being highly approachable and responsive. He has an excellent understanding of the A-level syllabus as well as Oxbridge entrance exams and processes. He is very flexible and supportive and my son hugely enjoyed the tutorials and learned a great deal.
