I am a passionate, professional and highly experienced tutor with a first class Oxford degree in English Language and Literature. I have taught all stages for over 15 years, optimising students' results and helping them to build their self-confidence in a subject I love. I teach 11+, 13+, GCSE, A Level, University and Oxbridge applications, as well as university-level essays.

I won an academic scholarship at Eton College where I achieved 11A* GCSEs and 4 As at AS and A level. I am also a theatre director and screenwriter, so I can help with theatre studies and screenwriting where needed.

Tutoring Approach

I tailor my lessons entirely to the needs of the individual. English is a subject I passionately enjoy, as I am a writer myself. Sharing that enjoyment with students is the best approach, helping them on a personal journey to discover a way to connect with great text and their ability to engage with literature with a critical eye. Patience, encouragement and fun are key to my process.
