Tim

Tim has a physics degree, and qualified as a mathematics teacher in July 2017, and has been tutoring both Maths and Physics regularly up to A level since. He combines this with being a working musician, having also achieved a master's degree in music, and he loves both jobs!

Tutoring Experience

Tim completed SCITT in 2017 alongside his PGCE qualification, so is a trained classroom teacher. He has over 5 years experience privately tutoring, both in homes and online, with students ranging between the ages of 10 and 18. GCSE students have seen their grades improve, often by two or three levels. He has plenty of experience working with students in alternative provision; often with those who have been excluded or have very poor attendance. He has succeeded where others have failed to create a bond with these young people, and then coach them in their academic achievements.

Tutoring Approach

Tim is friendly and encouraging. He understands the value of forming a working relationship with students in order to help them achieve to the best of their ability, and will push his students to maximise their accomplishments. He can offer a great level of flexibility with tutoring sessions, working on a 'zero hours' basis where you can request a change to date and time of lesson (availability permitting) at short notice, and simply pay per lesson.
