Timothy

I'm an Oxford graduate with an in-depth knowledge of my areas of study, being Economics, Philosophy, and Politics.

Within Philosophy, I have studied Religion in-depth, making it my core speciality.

I also have a passion for Mathematics at all levels, as it's the foundation for the subjects I love.

I'm keen to nurture a genuine interest in the subject areas I've become so passionate about.

I know that performing well in exams is a huge priority, having worked very hard to get into Oxford.

My goals for you will be to:
1. Get the best exam results you can get
2. Develop a strong interest and understanding of the subject matter
3. Set you up with the skills to study and think critically for years to come

Tutoring Experience

I have a number of years experience tutoring younger students at University, supporting them with 1st year modules.

I also have worked with younger students (primary school age) in mathematics who have fallen behind to help them get back up to speed.

Beyond this, I have a great deal of expertise in my subject areas being Politics, Philosophy, Economics, and Religion. I love to teach about these topics and I'm well equipped to challenge and develop your understanding of these topics.

Tutoring Approach

My tutorials will focus on the specific challenges of you're having with your curriculum.

Provide ahead of time the subject areas you're struggling with, and I'll tailor lessons to your needs.

I'll provide explanations to simplify complex subject matter, discuss in-depth, and work through challenging problems together.

I believe that we learn best by doing, so I'll prepare difficult challenges for us to work on during the lesson.

For young students who are still developing core concepts of mathematics, we'll work with visual elements and applied understanding to develop basic principles.

Falling behind in maths can be very stressful as new topics cease to make sense without the right building blocks. We'll find and set these foundations to help you get back on track with your eduction.

For those applying to University, I'm very happy to help with applications, personal statements, and interview preparation.
