Hello! My name is Tisloh and I am a soon-to-be doctor at the end of many years at medical school. I will receive a Bachelor's degree in Medicine & Surgery. I have previously already achieved a Bachelor's degree in Medical Sciences.
I have been a dedicated medical student with a knack for teaching and a passion for learning. Outside of my studies, I enjoy exploring creative endeavours that keep me inspired and balanced. I truly believe in the power of sharing knowledge, and tutoring allows me to not only help others but also solidify my own understanding.
I am from Nigeria by family, was born in the Gambia and grew up in London. As someone who didn't have many academic role models who looked like me during my formative years, I understand the importance of representation and diversity in education and thus I am happy to teach students from any sort of background.
I have had some periodic tutoring experience gained during breaks throughout my university education. I have mixed teaching experience as I have created educational presentations, produced learning materials for research and I have guided many small-group learning sessions.
In teaching, I will follow the educational syllabus closely to ensure adequate targeted learning. I tend to use drawings and analogies to make complex topics easier to understand. I believe in creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace. I believe patience is key irrespective of the level of understanding.
