Hi! I'm Toby. I graduated from the University of Bristol with a 2:1 in Maths and Physics in 2017 and have since worked as a Data Scientist. While at university, I tutored several students in maths and science, and now I’m looking to start tutoring again to give back and help nurture the next generation of mathematicians.
Tutoring Experience
Between 2013 and 2017, while studying for my degree, I tutored eight GCSE students and three A-level students in maths and science. In addition, since entering the world of work, I have gained experience mentoring interns and apprentices, which also involves teaching tricky difficult mathematical concepts clearly and patiently.
Tutoring Approach
I firmly believe that true understanding of the course material is required for a student to perform well in exams. I am patient and will endeavour to ensure students get a complete grasp of what they're learning. I like to tailor my teaching to each student's individual needs as I believe that this brings the best results.
