I'm a graduate of the University of Nottingham where I received my Bachelor of Arts with Joint Honours in American Studies and English in the First Class. Whilst there I had the opportunity of studying a wealth of literature from both the English and American Canon. Some of my favourite works are Melville's Moby Dick, Heller's Catch 22 and a good deal of Tennyson's poetry, particularly 'Crossing the Bar'.
My time working as a learning support assistant after my graduation gave me a valuable insight into the education sector and led me to apply for teacher training, which I will start in September 2025.
My approach to teaching English will be flexible and tailored to suit the different needs of each student. I will create a learning environment focussed on the kind of communication that can help me to understand the particular requirements of my students and to modify the focus of my teaching accordingly.
