Ume was on time and delivered the session as agreed but we decided our son will be best suited with another tutor.

Ume is tutoring me A-level Biology. I enjoy and appreciate the clear and precise application of the concepts that I am learning during the sessions and find beneficial assigned past exam questions and practice questions to consolidate my understanding. I also ask lots of questions to ensure that I am prepared for the exam and to identify the areas where I need further practice. Now I am a lot more confident answering the application type of questions including comparing and interpreting data from the graphs that I used to find tricky before I started tuition with Ume. I am definitely looking forward to continuing my sessions with her

My daughter who is in Year 8 has been having tutor session with Ume on Physics, Biology and Chemistry for around 5 months. My daughter confidence in the subject has greatly improved. Ume’s approach and regular tests after each topic and end-of-unit test has been valuable. We would highly recommend Ume.

Ume works really well with my nephew who enjoys her lessons. She always sends work to help him consolidate his learning. My nephew says that she is very understanding of current skills and how to help you to get better.

We did not continue with tuitions after the first lesson as Ume doesn't cover the creative writing aspect of the exam. We only found that out after her details were purchased. Ume was understanding towards our concerns and responded professionally.

Ume has been very supportive of my daughter. She is very thorough and professional, with high attention to detail and required standards. My daughter is improving her grades and confidence in gcse physics.

Ume is tutoring my daughter in GCSE Maths, Biology, Physics & Chemistry. After only a short time, Ume has really helped my daughter( age 14) to understand many areas of maths and science that she hadn't quite grasped.She is performing better at school and says that Ume is very clear and makes the subjects easier to understand. Ume is very organised, consistent, patient tutor. She builds good relationships with my daughter, she is encourages her to be an active listener and ask questions, she explains different ways if my daughter can't understand, gives her tests and quizzes. Ume organises meetings with parents to give them updates of child's progress.

Ume, has proven to be a very professional and flexible tutor. She regularly reminds parents of classes, organises feedback sessions and set's a learning plan which is shared with parents a week before each tutoring session. Ume has also made changes to scheduled classes on short-notice which has been very much appreciated as it has enabled our eldest daughter to be flexible with her demands for the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award. Ume currently teaches two of our three daughters and both of them have expressed great elation in having been introduced to their favourite tutor ever (they have had a few).

Ume is tutoring year 6 Maths to our son, who found Maths challenging but with Ume’s input and excellent approach in identifying the key areas through regular Maths assessments, teaching and then testing has definitely worked! His confidence has grown and now he is very enthusiastic to solve tricky Maths questions and challenges himself. This is exactly what we were looking for! We are pleased with our son’s progress and Ume’s encouraging teaching style. Our son is enjoying the lessons and looking forward to the coming lessons. It's been 3 weeks since Ume is remote teaching my daughter GCSE level Physics, Maths and Biology. Lessons are organised and planned, and in particular, I like the way she explains concepts. Ume is an excellent tutor, reliable, supportive and professional. Our son is in year 6 and he finds it extremely helpful that she explains step by step how to solve complex Maths problems logically. She has a great understating of how to identify weak areas and then adapting her teaching method and the content of her lessons accordingly. From the first session, our son felt more confident and encouraged because she explains each question in great detail to make sure he understands it. Her PowerPoint slides for the lessons are EXCELLENT, very thoughtfully put together, clear and concise showing detailed workout for each question. She also gives all the lesson notes, PowerPoint slides and extra Maths questions for homework which is a great tool for our son’s year 6 SATS revision! We greatly appreciate all of her hard work in preparing the lessons with outstanding learning content, regular tests and assessments and regular constructive feedback through arranging parent meetings which are very helpful in tracking our son’s progress. She also sends us reminders before each lesson and updates our son’s progress after each lesson. We are extremely satisfied and happy with her teaching style and our son looks forward to his Maths lessons each week. We will be continuing Maths tutoring lessons with her even after our son moves from primary to secondary school. We would strongly recommend Ume to anyone thinking of being tutored. Ume is tutoring our son for the 11plus Maths exam and she obviously has a thorough understanding of the subject and the exam process. She puts a lot of effort into preparing the lesson and her lessons are outstanding, very well planned, organised and structured. Our son reported more confidence in understanding the subject and how to approach exam-style questions. She sets up regular exam-style mock tests to identify the areas where he needs more help, provides detailed feedback and updates his progress regularly. She does her best to personalise her teaching approach and the lessons learning material for our son, specifically targeting those areas which require improvement. She provides extra practice sheets, lesson notes and PowerPoint slides after each lesson which is excellent and extremely helpful for exam preparation which can further strengthen our son’s understanding of the subject. My son is really enjoying her interactive and engaging lessons. We are extremely pleased with Ume’s teaching approach and the lessons and we look forward to continuing Maths lessons for our son. We always pay for our tutoring lessons in advance and will continue to do so. We have already booked our son’s Maths lessons with her until September! Ume promptly responds to my requests for scheduling tutoring sessions and thoroughly prepare all the teaching lessons. I feel very lucky to have found Ume at the right time.
