Tutoring Experience

I was a peer mentor during sixth form, where I supported younger students through various problems, including academic and personal.

Tutoring Approach

I focus on introducing past paper questions early on to ensure that the student's revision is active, targeted and efficient, so that they can work smarter, not harder. Familiarising the student with the exam format helps boost the student's confidence and teaches them how to properly engage with the subject in order to be able to pick out the key information that will earn them those top grades. It also allows us to identify weaker areas so that we can spend more time focusing on them. By communicating effectively with the student and discussing their concerns or queries, I ensure that lessons are centred around the student's learning style.
