I am a qualified teacher and have been teaching Secondary Science for 16 years in the local area and a private tutor for 10 years.

I love my job, particularly getting pupils to the "penny drop" moment.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching all three Sciences for 16 years across all abilities, I know getting from a 4 to that vital 5 grade is just as important as getting that elusive 9! I also have a proven track record of tutoring students to get the top grade of 99 in combined science this year.

My specialty is Biology, however I can tutor in all or any of the 3 Sciences, depending on individual needs. On the first meeting I will set out a schedule to make sure all aspects of the desired content is covered.

I have also been a GCSE exam marker for AQA Biology papers and therefore can offer an in depth knowledge of the specification and exam technique.

Tutoring Approach

I have been tutoring for 10 years with great success, all students have increased their results by at least one grade and achieved the grades they wanted, allowing them to go onto the A levels of their choice!

I am incredibly patient and will work together with the tutee to build confidence, learn subject content and practice exam technique. I have the facility to tutor from my home in a purpose built home office.

I teach part time so I am available during the school day, 2 days a week for homeschooling requirements if needed.
