I offer expert tuition in English and History. A qualified teacher and examiner with 15 years' experience, I deliver quality teaching face to face and online and am passionate about helping my students succeed.

I am a qualified teacher, and have worked in secondary schools in Crawley, Croydon and Burgess Hill. I tutor English at Key Stage 3 and GCSE, and History at A-level, GCSE and Key Stage 3. I thoroughly enjoy teaching, particularly when I see students reaching their goals and achieving good exam grades. I also currently work as a GCSE History Examiner for one of the leading exam boards.

Tutoring Experience

I have been teaching and tutoring for 15 years, and have taught History and English in both private and state secondary schools. Additionally, I have over 11 years GCSE History examining experience. I have helped students to achieve excellent grades at both A-level and GCSE.

Tutoring Approach

I like to make learning enjoyable. I offer tuition either from my home or via Zoom, and deliver lessons through a range of activities such as sorting and highlighting tasks, presentations, videos and quizzes. With a focus on exam technique, I provide tailored feedback to help students rapidly progress. I aim to praise students as much as possible as I believe this is vital to increasing their confidence.
