I offer a variety of tutor options, from individual sessions, paired, small groups, bespoke learning packages, online, in person.
I tutor from Reception up to GCSE, for Maths, English, Year 6 SATs, some sciences and Humanities, including everything in between such as handwriting, writing, phonics, EAL, spellings, time tables, etc. I also tutor towards entrance exams for all the local grammar schools and private schools, from 7+ right through to 13+, with excellent pass rates. Furthermore, I tutor children who are home-schooled.
I offer homework and feedback after sessions.
I tutor term-times and some optional dates in the school holidays too.
My sessions are bespoke to the individual, take into consideration learning styles and the level students are currently at. I also offer group sessions based on age.
For online sessions, I use Zoom.

For weekday, after-school hours and weekends, I only tutor from my office.
Weekday daytimes I will travel to the family home, depending on location.

When are you available?
Availability changes all the time, I tutor Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

How much are sessions?
This depends on the option you choose- I offer a huge variety, to suit different budgets and situations.
•Bespoke learning package- combination of tutoring and work set as bespoke
•Paired sessions- individual work set, with another child working on their material
•Groups of 3- as paired above but 3 in the room •Individual in-person and individual online sessions
•Group sessions (usually online)- I offer these for a wide range of options, such as Primary skills, 11+ specific to local main schools, GCSE English, GCSE Maths, Secondary, and more

Tutoring Experience

I have over 20 years experience in schools, as a Teacher, Lead Teacher, Tutor.
My MEd was completed in SEN.
I am currently training to assess dyslexia.

Tutoring Approach

Prices listed on my page are starting prices for group sessions/similar packages. Please discuss options with me, depending on what you are looking for and it’s not possible to display a price for every possible age and tutoring option.

My philosophy is to build a good working relationship with my students, nurture trust and build confidence. Once a child feels safe, knows it is acceptable to make mistakes and builds resilience, then the magic happens and they make progress.

We book an initial session, after that I book on a half-terms basis.
Prices range from £15 a week/session to £65 for sessions.
