Hey there! I'm Vismaya, a Computer Science and Mathematics student at the University of Leeds. I'm super excited about the opportunity to share my love for mathematics with others and help them reach their full potential. As a capable mathematician, I was honoured to receive a prize during my second year at uni for ranking in the top ten for grades in the School of Mathematics. Tutoring Experience

In terms of experience, I've had the privilege of mentoring both sixth-formers and university students, providing guidance and support to help them navigate challenging academic subjects. Additionally, I gained valuable hands-on experience as a research intern at the University of Leeds, where I delved into the fascinating world of AI. During this internship, I conducted in-depth research, authored a paper, and delivered an oral presentation, honing my communication skills and ability to convey complex ideas effectively.

Tutoring Approach

In tutoring, I start by breaking down questions step by step to address any misunderstandings from the ground up. I encourage active participation by having students repeat the problem-solving process with similar questions. I also emphasize "exam technique," focusing on details that can boost marks, like remembering units or using past papers to predict future questions.
