Online Maths and Physics Lessons

Hey! My name is Wasi and I'm a 5th-year medical student studying at UCL!

In addition to wanting to pursue medicine, I've always had an avid interest in maths and the sciences, having taken all of them at A-Level. There were some difficult topics that were harder to wrap my head around, but I was able to eventually persevere and figure them out.

I want to take all the knowledge I've accumulated in my journey to medicine to help others, and give the advice and teaching that I wish I had been able to get myself.

Tutoring Experience

Although I don't have any experience tutoring academically, I do have experience teaching and coaching students in other fields.
I've had both volunteer and paid positions coaching students of various ages in video games, such as Valorant, and have had great results, with students climbing several ranks.
In addition, I've also gone into schools to teach mental health and complex mental health conditions to students aged 12-13.

Tutoring Approach

I like to take a systematic approach that aligns with the specification of the course as well as the order in which the different sections are studied within school.

When tutoring a new student, we will begin by establishing a starting point. We'll look at what the student has done in school already, as well as areas that the student identifies explicitly as tricky, as this would be their primary point of concern. We'll focus on these areas first, and then go through an overview of the section as a whole, so as to build a broad and flexible knowledge base.

In addition to supplementing school teaching, I also believe in regular revision and consolidation. During holidays and before exams, we'll go through past paper questions to identify and refresh our learning in weaker areas.
