I am passionate about high quality education and all children having the opportunity to succeed.

I can offer support within the full primary curriculum including:
English - Reading (phonics and comprehension), Writing (composition and handwriting) SPAG (Spelling Punctuation and Grammar)
Maths - developing early concepts up to End of KS2, identifying gaps in learning and understanding.

Tutoring Experience

I have 30 years experience of working in education 22 years as a fully qualified Primary teacher. I have specialised in Early Years to 11 and have taught every year group in the primary range. During my teaching years I have successfully supported children in reaching their full potential despite the challenges they may face. I have extensive experience of a range of SEND needs and how they impact on children within a mainstream setting. I also have experience of working with children who have English as an additional language.

Tutoring Approach

The first step is to identify the needs of the individual - that might be in discussion with the parent. You might be thinking of tutoring in response to feedback from your child's school, or you might just want to be prepared. It is vital that we build a working relationship based on trust.

My aim is to encourage students to recognise success and continue to challenge themselves.
