I am a researcher who is transitioning to a career in education. My background has largely involved field-based research on insects and aquatic communities.

Tutoring Experience

I have not taught before, but I have always had a skill and passion for explaining scientific concepts to people, whether they have a background in science or otherwise. My career in research has also involved much scientific administration and communication.

Tutoring Approach

I have not taught before, but I am a firm believer in the use of diagrams and animations to convey ideas so this must take an important role in my approach. I have a long background in fieldwork so practical demonstration is also an option where relevant.
