I am a Bristol based private tutor specialising in GCSE and KS3 mathematics and science. I am a trained secondary mastery specialist meaning that I am experienced and trained in the most up to date methods of key stage 3 mathaematics and i have experience with classroom teaching and private tuition for combined science, triple science, higher mathematics and foundation mathematics. My masters degree in education focussed on mastery in mathematics and remote learning.

Tutoring Experience

With a PGCE and a master’s degree in education, I have taught music, mathematics, and science for over ten years. I have experience with private tuition and classroom teaching and have worked in high schools for seven years. I find it a joy to share my love of maths and science. As a private tutor I really like the aspect of getting to know each student's individual learning style and finding their way of enjoying learning.

Tutoring Approach

My main approach is to figure out the unique way in which students learning, paying close attention to neurodiversity, learning anxiety and senses of enjoyment. I think it is important that there is strong chemistry between learner and tutor and I always aim to help my students feel comfortable and enjoy experiencing progress with freedom to try different approaches if something isnt working.
