I have recently graduated from the University of Bath with a (Hons) degree in BEng Civil Engineering. During my time at University, I also completed a 12-month work placement at a Fortune 500 company specialising in engineering consultancy.

Before University, I completed 3 A-Levels, as well as an Extended Project, achieving A*AA and A*.

As someone who has benefitted from tutoring in the past, I know how helpful a friendly face can be to help you improve in the areas you are finding challenging in preparation for an upcoming exam.

Tutoring Experience

I have worked as an online tutor over the past five years, providing recurring and one off DT, Mathematics, Python and Physics lessons at both A-Level and GCSE. During this time I have become accustom to the online classroom environment and am proficient in using the tools available (e.g. online whiteboard) to ensure the student gets the most out of their time with me.

Tutoring Approach

Performing well is all about understanding what the question is asking of you, and practice makes perfect. I provide well planned and structured lessons, aiming to help pupils improve their skills by identifying what they need to work on, providing examples to explain processes step-by-step, and using lots of practice questions!

I pay close attention to each students respective exam board, and tailor my lessons to cater for the difference between each board. I will explore the mark schemes, and adapt my lessons to ensure the techniques I teach are specific to the requirements of the student's relevant exam board.

My methods have helped improve the grades of many students, including taking a D.T student from a grade C to achieving a grade A in his final examinations. I have substantial understanding of the exam technique required for the exams, which is crucial in elevating the student's grade to reach their potential.
