I have been teaching Government & Politics since 1996. I have been Principal Examiner (setting the exams) for American Politics for seven years as well as an examiner for ideologies and UK politics. I have written two textbooks and two revision guides on American Politics. I have been immersed in political studies since going to University, having taken my students on trips to bring the subject to life - to Parliament, Brussels, Washington DC and Northern Ireland (in the days when the Irish troubles were on the curriculum). I bring this level of enthusiasm for my subject to my teaching.
I have been teaching Government & Politics since 1996. I have tutored a number of students over the years and each of them have found the subject more interesting and engaging as a result, as well as improving their knowledge and skills. Each family that has engaged me has recommended me to others.
I am very effective at simplifying issues that students find complex, but also helping students apply their knowledge and understanding to exam questions.
