I am a postgraduate student of Comparative Literature at King's College London. I offer guidance on English essay writing, reading comprehension, listening, speaking, and critical thinking. Having a profound love for arts, movies, and literature, I will include them in my teaching materials so we can approach English through an artistic lens. Having Chinese as my first language, I also teach (traditional) Chinese and can assist students whose first language is Chinese. As a KCL postgraduate student, I am also in a great position to help with university applications, especially for internal students.
I have been a freelance English teacher for six years. My tutees range from primary school students to retraining adults. I adjust my teaching pedagogy to different needs, for example, game-oriented, exam-oriented or casual English speaking practices.
I believe everyone can open a door to a new world as long as they hold the right key. I also think the best way to learn is with strong motivation, so my duty is to arouse students' curiosity and lead them to enjoy the feeling of improving. Regarding each student as an independent individual, I teach with respect, patience, creativity and positivity.
