My name is Shahzad Aziz and I am an MFL teacher with 25 years experience. I have taught Arabic, French and Urdu from KS3 through to GCSE and and have taught Urdu to A level. I have worked at several schools over the years and my most recent school was an outstanding schools in Leeds where I taught for 10 years and was a subject leader. I have a BA hons degree in Arabic studies with distinction in spoken Arabic and I have a Masters in Arabic- English-Arabic translation both from the University of Leeds. I have a PGCE in combined modern foreign languages from the University of Bradford. I currently work as a qualified professional psychotherapist alongside being a tutor. I have native command of the English language and am fluent in French, Urdu , Panjabi and Arabic.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught Modern Foreign Languages in secondary schools for over 20 years and also have experience of teaching GCSE English resit at college. I also have experience of face to face in person tuition of English Language and Literature, Arabic Key stage 3 and GCSE, aswell as Urdu GCSE. I have also taught students who were being home schooled and helped them achieve excellent results in English language and literature GCSE.
I also have experience of teaching adults and children conversational Arabic as well as grammar lessons.
For the last five years I have also been
working as a self employed psychotherapist running my own private practice in Chapel Allerton .

Tutoring Approach

I have expertise of teaching all 4 MFL skills at GCSE namely listening speaking reading and writing but I am also willing to help students to focus on improving one particular language skill if that is what they need e.g. speaking skills. My approach is a communicative but also grammar based one and I aim to build my students confidence in using their language skills.
