Home Tuition for Maths in Maryland

Hi! My name is Zain, and I will be your stop for a better way to learn the sciences.
Have you ever wanted to understand maths? As in, truly understand it? Do you want to be engaged when learning physics, maybe for the first time in your life. After a lesson with me, I can guarantee you will come out with a secure grip on your maths and physics knowledge. By the end of each session, you will share the same enthusiasm which I have myself for all these subjects.

Tutoring Experience

I have tutored at many different establishments. This includes teaching a diversity of students, ranging from primary school children in my days at IntoUniversity, to year 113 students learning A-level further maths and entrance exam maths in the Study tuition centre.
That all is not to mention the informal teaching I partake in every day, from helping my peers during our GCSE exams season, to guiding relatives through A level maths. I had even aided my friend in his practice for the MAT exam, allowing him to get a place at Oxford for Mathematics.

Tutoring Approach

Whenever I teach any concept, I always put the student front and centre. What do you understand already? How can you learn more and improve? These are the questions I look to answer when tutoring. That is why I always start off by discussing the content, even giving a mini assessment to gauge the student’s level. Then, I tailor my teaching to the student’s unique learning style. I incorporate real world examples to make lessons more engaging. For example, when teaching calculus, I will not only talk about derivatives as gradients, but also discuss how calculus can be applied to driving, or even to your morning walk to school. This makes concepts more memorable, allowing knowledge to stick in the student’s head long term. Over time, I will continue teaching through the content, but also return to ideas I taught earlier on. This helps the student remember these foundational ideas for longer. By the end, the student should have a proper understanding of all the content, and they will remember it by the time exams come around, guaranteeing high marks.
