Hi there!
My name is Zoe, I am a passionate Director of Mathematics at a secondary school. I have been a teacher of Mathematics for 10 years and Director of Mathematics for 7 years. As a result I have extensive access to resources across the board and am up to date with all of the new changes your child will face with the ever-changing curriculum!
I am a very friendly and approachable with a passion for teaching and would be honored to be a part of enhancing your child's academic career.

Tutoring Experience

I am currently Director of Mathematics, leading a team of 13 mathematics teachers. I teach both the A-Level and GCSE Mathematics, meaning I know the curriculum and exam specifications inside-out. It also means I have an abundance of resources readily available for you. I also have access to a fantastic analysis tool that takes the data from their most recent exams and highlights very specific and individualised areas of weakness. Before the first session I would ask you give me copies of their recent mocks (I am sure their school won't mind) and I will put this information into this tool and figure out exactly what we need to be working on.

I have also been an examiner for 7 years for Edexcel, which has allowed me to gain a deeper insight into how the exams are marked and how students can improve their exam techniques in mathematics.

Academics aside I have additional responsibilities in Performing Arts Enrichment. I run a dance and cheer company at my school which consists for 11 dance and cheer groups with a strong student leadership structure.

Tutoring Approach

Prior to our first session I usually meet with the parents and the tutee to discuss exactly what the tutee needs from the sessions and where they are currently at. I would also ask them to bring some past exam papers that thye have completed in school so that I can identify iondividual needs and plan the sessions accordinglt, making the sessions as effective and efficient as possiblke. At the end of each session I will give the tutee as small piece of 'homework' to complete before the next session to ensure they have mastered that topic, if not we will continue until they are 100% confident.
