I migrated to England from Tunisia in 2008, with a goal to become a qualified interpreter. Prior to my move to England, I worked as a Lawyer at the Appeal Court of Tunis and also written books in Arabic on the subject of Criminology. In the years since and by integrating and adapting within my community, I achieved British Citizenship in 2010. I am confident in my abilities to provide an accurate and effective tutoring service. Below are the skills and qualities I feel I can offer as a Tutor:
- an excellent knowledge of Arabic, French and English in both written and spoken form
- enthusiasm for the subjects involved
- good communication and listening skills
- a non-judgemental approach
- the ability to gain trust and respect from pupils, students and parents
- a strong commitment to improving opportunities for individuals from a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds
- a confident and positive outlook
- creative with the ability to inspire others
- good planning and organisational skills
I have also started my Doctorate Thesis in 2000 and this is on-going.

I have a very student-centred approach to tutoring. Although my students will acknowledge and respect my authority as the teacher, they are able to make decisions about how learning takes place. I enjoy finding new and fun ways of keeping the learning interesting whilst assessing what works best for individual students throughout. Alongside traditional written/verbal teaching methods, I also incorporate media, music, art and crafts as ways to stimulate learning.
