Very experienced teacher of GCSE and A-level Business and Economics. An expert in exam technique and preparation, with plenty of grade boosting ideas. Proven track record of success. A bit about me....
From the age of 16, I was organising a series of successful events for all the local school kids. I then went to Bath University School of Management to develop my understanding of and passion for Business. Upon graduation I had a year long stint, travelling and windsurfing some of the best spots of the day. On return to London, I secured an amazing job working for Richard Koch, serial entrepreneur, founder of LEK Management Consulting and majority shareholder of Belgo Restaurants. I helped him to write two books: 'Management Without Management' and 'The 80/20 Principle', before my entrepreneurial spirit pushed me to set off on my own. I founded the London Bar Company Ltd and Hill Brasseries Ltd and worked hard developing a fast growth, award winning group of seven Central London bars and restaurants. Some risky financing of new ventures, immediately before the credit crunch, meant that the business failed. I have always had a passion for business and the role it can play in peoples lives. I also come from a family of teachers and witnessed first hand how they can positively impact young people's lives. My dad stopped teaching over 30 years ago, but I still get people talking about how he drove them to their successes in life. I hope to do the same, through the teaching of Business and Economics and now through Careers guidance. Everyone should have a passion. I have mine and I hope to help others find theirs!

I love my subjects and am uniquely able to teach using real life stories from my career as an entrepreneur, as well as current affairs and academic insights. I like to work with a very small number of private tutees, and guide them not only to success in their A-levels, but towards successful career paths. I am a kind and supportive teacher, but at the same committed to achieving the highest grades and inspiring genuine interest in my subjects. My goal is, obviously, to help students achieve A* grades, but equally to inspire them for their future careers or entrepreneurial activity. My advice is choose a tutor who can inspire and motivate. And start early! A good tutor will make a massive difference.
