I am a head of department at a leading independent school. I have tutored several pupils each year to A level success helping the young people I tutor to grow in confidence and achieve their target grades. I have 4 children from 16 to 24 and understand what its like facing exams as a teacher and a parent. I would be available midweek after work from 4 pm and weekends. Tutoring Experience

I started teaching in a FE college over 20 years ago and have taught in several schools since. I have taught A level Business and A level Economics with A*-B pass rates over 90%. I have over 15 years experience as an A level examiner. I have marked A level Business and A level Economics. My understanding of how exams are marked means I can give high quality feedback and good tips on how to achieve higher grades.

Tutoring Approach

I focus on developing exam skills. I use model answers and fully explained multiple choice answers to illustrate what examiners want. I use a range of multi media and interative activities to build self esteem and confidence. My strength is the quality of assessment and the quality of real world examples used to explain ideas. I have extensive notes and a passion for the subjects I tutor. You will progress at a pace you feel comfortable with and in a way which complements lessons at school or college.
